A Hug in a Mug: Golden Spiced Citrus Cider

A Hug in a Mug: Golden Spiced Citrus Cider

There’s a kind of magic in those quiet evening hours, when the light softens and the world finally exhales. The rush of the day settles behind you—the emails, the errands, the endless to-dos—and in its place, a hush. You wrap your hands around a warm mug, feel the gentle steam curl against your skin, and take that first sip.

The golden cider is alive with goodness: the brightness of citrus, the earthiness of turmeric, the comforting hum of cinnamon and cardamom. Every ingredient whispers calm. As the warmth seeps in, something shifts. The chaos fades, and you remember what it means to pause. To be present. To nourish not just your body, but your whole, beautiful self.

So tonight, as the wind brushes the windows and the stars begin to prick the sky—make this your ritual. Let this be your exhale.

Because comfort isn’t just a feeling—it’s a ritual.

Hints & Tips

Make Ahead and Leftovers - This cider keeps beautifully in the fridge for up to 3 days. Just reheat gently on the hob until steaming—don’t let it boil, just warm it through.

Tips - For a slightly richer finish, try stirring in a splash of vanilla extract just before the heat is turned off.

Spirited Options - You could spike this cider with a shot of dark rum or bourbon or Apple Brandy.
